Who else would bring a monster truck to my house and park it on my front lawn. What other man would know the problem with my pickup just by taking a ride in it. It was always a pleasant surprise to have Roy and Barbara stop at my house on their way to or back from Va. My work prevented me from keeping in close contact. The Chambers family has always been in my prayers. We never made that fishing trip. We never did get together on my fathers service records. Time goes so fast. Roy went to his reward 42 years to the day my father Capt. Martin C. Kalista US Army who was Barbarba uncle. Now Roy can talk to Marty direct. Roy you will be sadly missed but not forgotten. May God comfort the family doing this time of sorrow. For Jesus said that He would heal the broken in heart. With sincere sympathy. , USA - 9:42:35 10/26/104 Darry L. Deaton Darry.Deaton@MuddyBoots.net Roy was one of my two dearest friends and fellow Marine Corps veterans. We were alike in so many ways yet different in others. We complemented each other and made a hell of a team. He was an impressive man standing 6' 4" and 235 pounds while I am a mere 5' 11" and 185 pounds. He was brash and bold I am somewhat reserved.
But we shared an intense patriotism, love of the Marine Corps, and a strong
sense of duty. I shall miss him terribly.
